Hi everyone– hope you’re all having a lovely week thus far. I’ve got some good news and some bad news.
The bad news: I’m going to be performing at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland with my musical improv group One Night Stand (onenightstandmusical.com) until August 25th, and so I will obviously be unable to post about new American films and television shows while I’m here. I’m going to try to post about Mad Men, as I can get those new episodes easily off I-Tunes as soon as they air, but I won’t be able to post about my other summer shows (Weeds, Generation Kill, Project Runway, anything else) until I get home.
The good news: I’m in frickin Edinburgh for the Fringe Festival! And so, unlike last year, I am going to try to post this year about all (or at least some) of the shows I see while I’m here. If its anything like my last three trips to the festival, I’ll see roughly 50 shows while I’m out here. So whether you’re planning on checking out the Fringe for yourself, interested in the up and coming productions (Urinetown: The Musical and Flight of the Conchords are just two of the many projects to get their starts in Edinburgh), or just want to read some funny print on the godawful garbage that is 75% of the shows here, this is the blog for you!
If you decide not to check back here until after the 25th, I’ll miss you! But hopefully, you’ll stick around from some great posts on some unique musicals, stand-up, plays, physical theater, both great and terrible straight from the world’s largest performing arts festival.
