Yo bro, glad to have a comment from you- its been a while! I gave it a C+ in spite of my enjoyment because objectively, it was not a strong episode. I think of a C+ as just above average, and I felt this episode was slightly better than average, but not solid enough to warrant a B, which is reserved for truly above average episodes.

Hope this helps explain my thought process!

I don’t know if you saw this but next week should be good because Ari is making a bet with Alan Gray. If Ari wins, Vince is in smoke jumpers, however, I don’t know what happens if Ari loses… Just thought I should tell you what I saw in the scenes from next week, and give you a little heads up… sick blogging btw…

I always love your posts, including this one.

My only gripe here is that you claimed to really enjoy the episode, and yet you gave it a C+. I would understand your grade if that was in reference to the entire season thus far (in light of your criticism of said season of Entourage)… but if you enjoyed the episode, the grade seems somewhat arbitrary and a bit too low.

A minor point, I concede… but I thought I’d post it.

Oops! On entourage, Alan Gray is the studio head, as you mention. This name is a combo of both Alan Horn, head of WB, and Brad Gray, head of Paramount. I got the real name mixed up with the fictitious amalgamate!

well put sir. my main gripe with the episode was just what you said – we’ve spent too much time this season with vince shopping around and considering/reconsidering smoke jumpers and benji that we haven’t been able to enjoy the mishaps associated with actual production. that’s really when the series kicks into high gear. it’s not that we don’t like seeing the guys on shrooms; rather, it has to supplement a development in the major (“A”) plotline.

also, just a quick correction for you, the name of the fictitious studio head in entourage is Alan Gray, even though anyone who’s somewhat familiar with tinseltown knows that Alan Horn is the head honcho at warners.
